Not that you need an excuse to shop, or to go outside and enjoy a beautiful Philadelphia spring day, but we’ve got one anyway: the fourth annual Old City Sidewalk Sale & Stroll, Saturday May 14 and Sunday May 15, from noon to 5 p.m.
More than 50 businesses, including boutiques, spas, restaurants and galleries, will take their wares to the sidewalks of Old City. There will be complimentary beverages, cocktails and snacks, demonstrations, door prizes and trunk shows.
In addition, the Wild Bohemians, Philadelphia’s very own Mardi Gras band, will also be strolling (and performing) throughout the neighborhood.
So, check out your favorite Old City boutique for bargains and this year’s spring/summer must-haves or discover a new favorite store while you meander the streets where our forefathers walked. Also stop by one of the galleries in the area that will be showcasing pieces from current and future exhibitions and artists.
A full list of participating vendors, and their locations, is available online.
On a related note, Design and Fashion Night Out in Old City is next Wednesday, May 11, 5:30-8:30 p.m., with more than 20 furniture shops, lighting showrooms, fashion boutiques and art galleries hosting special events for the night. A great warm-up for the May 14-15 event!
